Article 2229
Responsibility for Injuries to Employees
(1)
The employer shall be responsible, irrespective of fault, for compensating an employee where the employee sustains an injury during or in connection with his work as a consequence of an employment accident or an occupational disease.
#(2)
An employer shall not be responsible for any injury which an employee intentionally causes to himself.
