Article 260
Inventory and Valuation of Property. - 1. After the Guardian Assumes his Function
(1)
Within forty days from the assumption of his function, the guardian shall proceed to draw up an inventory of and value the property of the minor in the presence of reliable witnesses chosen, if possible, from among the members of the family council.

Where the minor owes the guardian anything the latter shall state the debt in the inventory on pain of losing his right thereto.
