Article 986
Principle
(1)
Whosoever in good faith by onerous title enters into a contract to acquire the ownership of a movable thing shall become the owner thereof by virtue of his good faith.
#(2)
His rights shall not be affected by the fact that the person with whom he contracted had no valid title.
#(3)
Delivery of a movable thing which remains in the hands of the transferor has no effect with respect to a third person who has a prior right in rem to the thing, until the time when the thing has come into the hands of the acquirer, unless the third person has consented to the alienation.
