Article 1690
Contractual Limitation of Extra-Contractual Liability
A person may relieve himself of liability for his fault, unless the injury was caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
#A person may stipulate by contract that he will not be liable for faults committed by another person for whom he is answerable under the civil law.
#A person may stipulate by contract that he will not be liable, unless the injury was caused by himself intentionally or by gross negligence; for injury which, under the provisions of this Title, is to be made good irrespective of fault.
#Such an exemption of liability will not be held effective if it is contrary to good faith. Regard should be had to the position of the parties in society, in particular the circumstance that the party who is confronted with such an exemption is not a professional party.
