Article 44

Whenever any premises, vehicle or other place liable to search is closed, any person residing in or being in charge of such building or place shall, on demand of the police officer executing the search warrant and on production of the warrant, allow the police officer and others accompanying him free entry into and exit from the property and shall afford all reasonable assistance for the search.

If, after the police officer provides notification of his authority and purpose and if after demand of admittance duly made he cannot otherwise obtain admittance, the police officer may use reasonable means to gain entry into such place and to effect the search.
