Opposition. - 1. By Whom Made
(1)
Opposition to the marriage may be made by the father or mother of the spouse or by the guardian of the spouse who is a minor. In default of the father or mother or if neither of them is in a position to oppose, one of the grandparents or great-grandparents may oppose. In default of ascendants or if no one of them is in a position to oppose, an elder brother or sister or a paternal or maternal uncle or aunt may oppose.
